One man has died from injuries he sustained after being stabbed by a co-worker in a violent altercation that took place at a Japanese restaurant on Kalevankatu in Helsinki on Wednesday, 8 August.

The men had become involved in an argument which escalated into a violent physical altercation, allegedly ending with the men picking up kitchen knives and stabbing each other. No customers were in the establishment during the incident, according to police.
Both of the men were seriously injured and taken to the hospital, but one them died over the weekend, police said.
On Monday police said the surviving suspect was still in the hospital but that he would be taken to the jail facility in Pasila, Helsinki when his medical condition permits.
