Keanu Reeves returns as the mysterious and moody John Wick, in an equally pulpy sequel, set shortly after the events of the first film. Forced out of retirement, the veteran hitman travels to Rome to foil a plot to seize control of a shadowy international assassin's guild. With a fairly loopy and irrational plot, the film relies heavily the thrill of a high body count and plenty of action, making this one of the most darkly fun movies of the year.
