Those, who suffered from sexual violence residents in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa will be able to ask for help in the Seri center.
In the Finnish capital, the first in the country Assistance Center for victims of sexual violence begins to operate, which will work with adults and teenagers starting from 16 years. Anyone can apply there: women, men and transgender people.
Psychologist, social worker, midwife and doctor will work with the victims. Patients will be able to take forensic tests, pass medical examination, receive psychological help and treatment. They will also be recommended to contact the police.
In January, Finnish law enforcement officials reported that there were more sexual crimes in the country.
