Danish DOVISTA A/S is to acquire 50 per cent of its partner, Finnish Kurikka Timber, with effect from 15 June.
Kurikka Timber is manufactures finger joint and laminated wood components for the window and door industry in Northern Europe. It’s located in Suolahti, Finland, and employs 80 staff.
DOVISTA A/S is the parent company of DOVISTA Group with 11 brands and companies in seven countries, all operating in the market for windows and doors and related products.
“During the past years we have built a good and close cooperation with the DOVISTA Group which is our largest customer today,” tells Jaakko Kurikka, owner and CEO of Kurikka Timber, in the company’s press release. “In our opinion, with DOVISTA as co-owner we will be able to develop the company faster and with lower risk.”
Allan Lindhard Jørgensen, CEO of DOVISTA A/S, says that Kurikka Timber is deemed a highly competent and innovative supplier.
