Finnish Finnkino’s premium cinema concept Scape has won the Classic Screen of the Year award at the CineEurope conference in Barcelona.
Finnish cinema is top class in Europe
The award was given by the International Cinema Technology Association (ICTA), an international trade association representing cinema technology companies - reports goodnewsfinland.
Scape is a premium cinema concept developed by Finnkino. The winning Scape, also the first of its kind, is located in Finnkino Tennispalatsi in central Helsinki, where it was launched last summer. Since then, Scape has been launched in Finnkino Omena in Helsinki.
The concept based on top-notch technical solutions as well as luxurious facilities. For example, the screen itself is 185 square metres in size.
“The award goes to show that we’ve developed our concepts to the right direction also when it comes to technical solutions,” says Finnkino CEO Veronica Lindholm. “It’s obvious that we’re looking into possibilities of opening more Scapes in other cities in Finland.”
