The Helsinki District Court ruled to arrest the property of the head of the Finnish unit Uber Joel Jarvinen, who is suspected of illegal provision of services for passenger transportation.
According to the STT news agency, all the property of Jarvinen, estimated at 250,000 euros, can be confiscated if he is found guilty of providing taxi service without a license. The prosecution party insists that the businessman should compensate for the damage he caused to Finland.
It should be reminded, that the service Uber was launched in Suomi in 2014. The Finnish police tried to fight Uber drivers by fines, but after the intervention of the prosecutor's office, they began to bring cases against the company's employees. The head of the Finnish branch, Joel Jarvinen, said that, despite the pressure, Uber is not going to leave the Finnish market.
