Outdoor swimming pool area consists of four different pools: 50-metre pool for adults, diving pool, children’s pool and wading pool. Little bit older kids surely join the water slide which is open every day 12-18. There is also weightlifting area, basketball field and two beachvolley fields for those who want to enjoy the summer day in an active way. Sauna is included of course!
The Swimming Stadium is open Mon-Sat 6.30-20 and on Sundays 9-20. Tickets are 4 € per person and children (over 7yrs) 2 €. Please note that swimming in shorts is forbidden. But don’t worry, you can rent a swimming costume at the cash desks with price of 4 €. Also towels available.
And then some information about the design: the Swimming Stadium was designed by architect Jorma Järvi. It represents the Functionalist style prevalent during the 1930’s. It is described as a significant example of modern architecture in Finland (by Docomomo 2014).
