In Helsinki, a new Central Library is under construction. The steel structure, located between the parliament building and the railway, resembles a giant monument. Construction of the library began in the fall of 2015 and will end in late 2018. The project cost is estimated at 75 million euros. Financing is carried out by the state Helsinki.

According to forecasts, the number of visitors per year will be 1.5 million people.
