The Flow Festival will be held in Helsinki from 11th to 13th of August, 2017.
Flow is a festival of music and visual arts, which takes place annually in Helsinki (Finland). Here you can see and hear both legends of the world stage, and beginners, from whom everyone will be crazy only a year later.
In addition to the strong line-up, Flow forms a worthy art program from year to year, presenting works by contemporary artists: from large-scale installations to video-art. On the festival site there are discussions, exhibitions and performances. Another distinctive feature is the rich gastronomic component. During the whole festival weekend, dozens of the best restaurants and cafes in Helsinki present a special menu for Flow.
Flow is held on the territory of an inactive thermal power plant, built in the early XX century. In August, monumental architectural structures and ancient buildings comes to life and are transformed, thanks to modern design and impressive light projection. At the festival, there are 10 to 12 concert sites of different size and format, functioning at the same time: huge scenes for thousands of audiences or secluded spaces for several hundred music fans.
The festival program is published on the official website of Flow. Among the musicians to be seen in Helsinki this year are: Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean, Aphex Twin, The XX, London Grammar, Flume, Young Thug, Moderat, Death Grips, Roy Ayers, Model 500, Front 242, Mr. Fingers, Nina Kraviz and many others.
